Build Your Block was created by Brooklynite Patrick Chirico in 2010. He was constantly inspired by the buildings around him, including the bodegas and brownstones in Bed-Stuy, the modern apartment complexes popping up all over Williamsburg, and the classic pizza shops of Manhattan. He wanted people to be able to express their love of architecture and the city by creating their own personal blocks in their homes. People can pick and choose the colors and styles and most inspire them, and make a street on their bed or couch that is all their own.
They're completely washable and dry-cleanable.
For keeping the brightest, long lasting color, we recommend:
-For the first wash, wash alone in cold water.
-Hand washing recommended
-No hard scrubbing

11/2011 BUILD YOUR BLOCK LAUNCHES WINTER COLLECTION
Build Your Block, the Brooklyn Based pillow company founded by Patrick Chirico, has some new property listings to add to the neighborhood on your bed or couch.
Wanting to add some more New York City inspired buildings, the new designs include a classic pizzeria, a mom n’ pop auto shop, and a decadent Park Avenue apartment building.
Also, just in time for the holidays, there are two different Christmas inspired building pillows, each coming in two holiday appropriate color varieties. The first design is a looming Park Avenue building adorned with classy wreaths, and a Christmas tree that can be seen through the windows. The second is a Williamsburg townhouse with twinkling lights and tinsel. Snuggle these pillows between the other buildings on your couch, and the warmth of the season will spread throughout your house.
Lastly, Build Your Block has done something different, offering the chance to personalize your pillow with the Custom Bakery Pillow. Now the aspiring chefs and foodies alike can go beyond their kitchen and see their name in three different places on a New York City pastry shop.
The idea behind Build Your Block’s Winter Collection is so everyone can add to the city street they’ve created in their home. Now they can build a 3D village, can pick and choose the buildings and colors that most inspire them, and arrange them on a couch or bed to give their decor a cozy, urban feel.

Up & Out Spring 2011 Collection
With our new collection of pillows we want you to lay your head in the streets of New York City. If you have ever had a dream of being a urban planner, then start building on your bed or couch.
The new collection will help add some height and dimension to your preexisting block with the new five and six story Manhattan buildings. The quaint Bar/Restaurant Pillow could be your happy hour hangout or your favorite weeknight dinner spot. The Grocery2 Pillow introduces a city bodega to the block with its hand painted sign. And the PG Brick Pillow has historic, inner city appeal and it was used as the cover of the Led Zeppelin “Physical Graffiti” album. We also added a few more classic buildings, with another Brownstone row house, a Contemporary sleek Williamsburg building, a 2 story apartment building that looks like it could belong to families on any city block, and one more abandoned building, that is burnt out and has lots of graffiti.
We also released two sets of four mini foreground pillows. They include a hot
dog cart, stop sign, walk sign, fire hydrant, garbage, phone booth and mailbox,
a bike and bus stop, and an ATM pillow.
Lastly, we decided to add the third dimension to your block with the Brooklyn bridge/Manhattan cityscape pillowcase sets. All the pillows come in two colors and are made in Brooklyn, NY with our original photos of NYC buildings printed on 100% cotton and filled with 100% recycled poly fill.
The idea behind Build Your Block and the new collection is so everyone can recreate a city street in their own home. Now they can build a 3D village, can pick and choose the buildings and colors that most inspire them, and arrange them on a couch or bed to give their decor a cozy, urban feel.

FIRST FIVE Fall 2010 Collection
BUILD YOUR BLOCK PILLOW COLLECTION IS OFFICIALLY RELEASED
Build Your Block, a Brooklyn based company, is proud to announce the release of their
first pillow collection.
Creator Patrick Chirico was inspired by the delis, brownstones, and abandoned buildings
that he walked past daily in his small Brooklyn neighborhood and translated the images
into a five-pillow collection.
The image on each pillow was created from an original photograph and comes in five
designs: Corner Deli, Abandoned, Modern Complex, Brownstone One, and Brownstone Two.
Each pillow is made from 100% cotton and is printed in two different colors.
The idea behind Build Your Block is so everyone can recreate a Brooklyn street in their
own home. They can pick and choose the buildings and colors that most inspire them,
and arrange them on a couch or bed to give their décor a cozy, urban feel.
